House Republicans boost DOMA spending
House Republicans made a decision Friday to triple spending on upholding the Defense of Marriage Act.
They’re spending $1.5 million - triple the amount originally agreed upon in the contract - to pay a firm for litigation. The new contract has already been approved.
“At a time when Americans are hurting and job creation should be the top priority, it just shows how out of touch House Republicans have become that they would spend up to $1.5 million dollars to defend discrimination in our country,” Pelosi deputy press secretary Drew Hammill said.
Are you kidding me?
WHY? Cut NASA, cut Education, cut social services, But fund the continuance of discrimination…..

Has anybody been watching the debates lately? You’ve got a governor whose state is on fire denying climate change. It’s true. You’ve got audiences cheering at the prospect of somebody dying because they don’t have healthcare and booing a service member in Iraq because they’re gay. That’s not reflective of who we are.
